Western Mines Delivers High-Grade Nickel Results up to 4.35% Ni at Mulga Tank
Western Mines Group Ltd (ASX: WMG) has reported strong drilling results from the Mulga Tank project, confirming extensive nickel sulphide mineralization and high-grade zones across multiple drillholes. Assay results from holes MTRC068, MTRC069 and MTRC071 returned broad mineralized intervals, including up to 225 metres at 0.32% nickel and 200 metres at 0.29% nickel, supported by elevated cobalt, copper and platinum group elements. High-grade intercepts were also identified, with MTRC069 delivering 27 metres at 0.61% nickel, including 4 metres at 2.17% nickel and a peak of 1 metre at 4.35% nickel, marking one of the highest-grade results recorded at the project. These results confirm the presence of sulphide-rich zones and expand the mineralized footprint into new target areas for follow-up drilling. While drilling progress has been impacted by weather and logistical constraints, operations continue on site with adjustments to drilling methods. The results reinforce Mulga Tank’s potential as a large-scale nickel sulphide system with further upside.
