Talisman Mining: Strengthening Gold Potential at East Peak Hill
Talisman Mining Limited (ASX: TLM) has reported promising initial results from its maiden air-core drilling program at the East Peak Hill Gold Project in New South Wales. The company completed 5,546 metres of drilling across 95 holes, targeting a 4.5km mineralised trend within the highly prospective Junee-Narromine Volcanic Belt. Importantly, East Peak Hill is located adjacent to the Tomingley and Peak Hill gold district (1.36Moz at 2.2g/t Au), currently operated by Alkane Resources (ASX: ALK), enhancing its strategic significance. Early assay results revealed anomalous gold along with key pathfinder elements such as arsenic and antimony, indicating geological similarities to nearby producing deposits. Select drill intersections also demonstrated alteration patterns consistent with orogenic gold systems. These outcomes highlight the project’s potential for a large-scale gold discovery. With further assay results pending, Talisman continues to advance exploration across its tenements to unlock long-term value.
