ETM Advances Strategic Spanish Mine Acquisition with Key Regulatory Approval
Energy Transition Minerals Ltd (ASX: ETM) has received Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) clearance from Spain, representing a key step forward in its proposed acquisition of the Penouta tin-tantalum project.
This approval confirms that the company meets regulatory and national security requirements, strengthening confidence in its ability to operate strategic mineral assets in Spain. With a land access agreement already in place, the transaction is now nearing completion, pending final transfer of mining licences, expected within the current quarter. Following completion, ETM intends to conduct an operational review to determine the best approach for restarting the mine. The company plans to focus on sustainable development by applying strong environmental, social, and governance standards while promoting local employment and economic participation. The acquisition is expected to enhance Europe’s access to critical minerals, supporting regional supply chains and contributing to the broader energy transition.
