EAU Lithium Secures Pilot Plant to Accelerate Lithium Processing Plans
Cosmos Exploration Limited (ASX: C1X) announced that its subsidiary, EAU Lithium, has committed to acquiring Vulcan Energy’s pilot-scale Direct Lithium Extraction (DLE) plant in Germany. The facility has previously demonstrated successful processing of Bolivian lithium brines and will be used to optimise extraction processes, enhance operational efficiency, and support future deployment initiatives. The acquisition, valued at EUR 1.0 million, provides EAU Lithium with access to proven technology while avoiding the time and cost associated with constructing a new pilot facility. The plant is expected to play a key role in advancing the company’s lithium strategy in Bolivia through its partnership with Yacimientos de Litio Bolivianos (YLB). In addition to technical applications, the facility is intended to support training programs, educational initiatives, and collaboration with academic institutions, helping develop local expertise in lithium extraction. The transaction also strengthens EAU Lithium’s strategic relationship with Vulcan Energy and its VULSORB® technology platform.
