AML3D Limited Receives AU$2.6 Million Order for US Navy Submarine Parts
AML3D Limited (ASX: AL3) has secured a significant contract valued at approximately AU$2.61 million for manufacturing replacement components for US Navy submarines. The order is for five high-demand, non-safety critical components that are no longer being produced by the original manufacturer. These components will be produced using AML3D's proprietary ARCEMY® technology, a 3D metal printing process leveraging a Nickel-Aluminum-Bronze (NAB) alloy that has already been qualified to meet US Navy standards.
The contract is expected to span about 10 months, beginning in the fourth quarter of the current financial year. This win comes after the successful hydrostatic testing of AML3D’s printed components by the US Navy and marks a key milestone in the company's strategy to address supply chain challenges for the US Navy’s Maritime Industrial Base. AML3D’s US scale-up strategy continues to accelerate, with contracts exceeding AU$30 million in the US defense sector.
