Alligator Energy Advances Samphire Uranium Development
Alligator Energy Ltd (ASX: AGE) reported encouraging progress at its Samphire Uranium Project, with new drilling extending uranium mineralisation approximately 600 metres south of the Blackbush deposit into the recently secured Mullaquana Crown Lease. Early results from the ongoing 300-hole drilling campaign confirmed multiple high-grade intersections, highlighting the project's expansion potential. The company has also commenced infill drilling at the Plumbush deposit to upgrade its Inferred Mineral Resource to the Indicated category, supporting its inclusion in the Samphire Feasibility Study. Additionally, 108 delineation holes completed within Blackbush have strengthened confidence in the existing resource model and will assist detailed mine planning.
The company also successfully completed the Samphire Field Recovery Trial, demonstrating effective uranium leaching, recovery, ion exchange and elution across two different wellfield patterns. Trial results confirmed that in-situ recovery (ISR) mining is technically viable across varying geological conditions while achieving favourable reagent consumption and strong uranium capture efficiencies. These outcomes significantly reduce technical risk and provide valuable data for engineering design, wellfield planning and process optimisation ahead of the feasibility study, which remains on track for completion in mid-2027.
