Waratah Minerals Expands Spur Gold System with Strong Drilling Results
Waratah Minerals Limited (ASX: WTM) has reported encouraging drilling results from its ongoing 80,000-metre exploration campaign at the Spur Gold Project in New South Wales, reinforcing the project's potential as a large-scale gold system. Recent drilling has successfully extended both shallow and deeper mineralisation across multiple directions, with several high-grade intercepts demonstrating continuity beyond previously defined zones. Notable results include 55.9 metres at 2.63 g/t gold, including a standout 1 metre at 108 g/t gold, while additional holes confirmed broad mineralised intervals and deeper extensions.
The latest drilling has outlined a mineralised corridor approximately 500 metres wide within a broader 6-kilometre priority target area adjacent to the Cargo Intrusive Complex. Exploration has expanded the Spur footprint toward the east, west and northwest while strengthening geological confidence through consistent gold intersections across multiple targets. Waratah continues drilling at Spur, Consols, Ironclad and Gazzards, with further assay results expected in the coming weeks. The company believes these ongoing programs will help define the full scale of the mineralised system and support future resource development.
