MRG Metals Expands Rare Earth Potential with Strong Heavy Mineral Results at Fotinho

MRG Metals Limited (ASX: MRQ) has reported encouraging assay results from 57 auger drillholes completed at the Fotinho Rare Earth Project in Mozambique, strengthening the exploration outlook across the broader Adriano–Fotinho corridor. The drilling program delivered Total Heavy Mineral (THM) grades exceeding 3% in 26 holes, with the highest result reaching 7.69% THM over one metre. Several intersections also demonstrated consistent mineralisation at depths of up to three metres, highlighting the potential scale of the alluvial system. Across all completed holes, the weighted average grade was 2.95% THM over an average thickness of 1.38 metres. The latest findings complement earlier drilling and mineralogical studies that identified valuable heavy minerals, including monazite, rutile, zircon, leucoxene and ilmenite. MRG plans to commence grid-based auger drilling and further mineralogical analysis to define the size, continuity and economic potential of the emerging rare earth and heavy mineral corridor.
