Chimeric Therapeutics Appoints Independent Adviser to Unlock Strategic Value
Chimeric Therapeutics (ASX: CHM) has appointed Hawkesbury Partners as its independent financial adviser to conduct a comprehensive strategic review aimed at enhancing shareholder value. The Board is assessing a broad range of strategic and funding alternatives, believing the company's clinical programs, manufacturing capabilities, and regulatory infrastructure—developed through more than AU$80 million of investment—are not adequately reflected in its current market valuation.
The review will examine opportunities including strategic partnerships, licensing arrangements, co-development agreements, capital raising initiatives, mergers, asset divestments, and alternative financing structures. Hawkesbury Partners, an experienced adviser to life sciences companies, will independently evaluate options that could maximise the value of Chimeric's assets for shareholders. While the process is intended to identify the most effective path for value creation, the company emphasised that no transaction is guaranteed. Chimeric stated it will continue to keep the market informed of any material developments in line with its continuous disclosure obligations.
