Matsa Resources Highlights Expanding Gold Potential at Lake Carey
Matsa Resources Limited (ASX: MAT) has reported encouraging exploration progress at its Lake Carey Gold Project, where drilling conducted by AngloGold Ashanti has outlined a significant mineralised gold trend extending approximately 2 kilometres. Under the existing tenement option agreement, a total of 41 drill holes covering more than 11,000 metres have been completed, with assay results from most holes confirming multiple high-grade gold intersections across the project.
The exploration campaign has identified widespread gold mineralisation, with numerous intercepts exceeding 1.0 grams of gold per tonne and several higher-grade zones demonstrating strong exploration potential. Geological observations suggest that the mineralised trend remains open in multiple directions, providing opportunities for additional discoveries through further drilling.
The company believes the latest results reinforce the prospectivity of the Lake Carey Gold Project and reflect the value of its collaboration with AngloGold Ashanti. Ongoing exploration activities, supported by encouraging geological data and systematic drilling, are expected to further define the scale and continuity of the mineralised system while strengthening the project's long-term development outlook.
