WAM Strategic Value Posts Strong Profit Growth and Raises Fully Franked Dividend.
WAM Strategic Value Limited (ASX: WAR) delivered a strong half-year result for the period ended 31 December 2025, supported by portfolio outperformance and disciplined capital management. The investment portfolio increased 9.8% over the six months, exceeding the broader market benchmark by a meaningful margin. Calendar year performance reached 14.9%, extending the Company’s record of consistent returns.
Operating profit before tax rose 200.7% to AU$16.0 million, while profit after tax climbed 158.6% to AU$12.8 million, reflecting improved portfolio gains and asset realisations. In response to the solid earnings outcome, the Board declared an increased fully franked interim dividend of 3.25 cents per share, equating to an annualised yield of 5.6% and a grossed-up yield of 8.0%, inclusive of franking credits.
At period end, equities represented 82.7% of total assets, with a strong allocation to global listed investment companies. Management remains focused on unlocking value from discounted assets and narrowing the share price discount to net tangible assets.
