GYG Posts Strong 1H26 Growth and Reaffirms Expansion Plans
Guzman y Gomez (ASX: GYG) reported strong financial results for the half-year ended 31 December 2025, underpinned by network growth and operating leverage. Global network sales increased 18% to AU$681.8 million, while revenue rose 23% to AU$261.2 million. EBITDA grew 29.6% to AU$40.9 million, and net profit after tax advanced 44.9% to AU$10.6 million. On an underlying basis, NPAT reached AU$16.9 million.
The Australia segment remained the primary earnings driver, delivering 17.5% network sales growth and a 30% rise in segment underlying EBITDA. Comparable sales growth strengthened through the half, supported by menu innovation, daypart expansion and continued momentum in drive thru formats, which maintained solid margins and unit volumes.
Despite revenue growth coming in below analyst forecasts, the leadership team reiterated that the planned restaurant rollout for the year remains firmly on schedule. During the period, 17 new restaurants were opened globally, taking the network to 272 locations, with a strong development pipeline supporting further expansion.
