Vintage Energy Capital Raising and Metgasco Sale Agreement Termination Update.
Vintage Energy Ltd (ASX: VEN) has launched a AU$2.1 million capital raising through a non-renounceable entitlement offer of 1-for-4. This move is aimed at supporting the evaluation of oil prospects and the installation of a permanent connection to the Odin gas field, which is expected to lower operational expenses by about AU$0.7 million annually. Vintage has also secured partial funding from the South Australian Government’s Gas Incentive Grant for the drilling of the Odin-3 and Vali-4 gas wells. The company continues to focus on the oil potential of its acreage, which has demonstrated promising results in prior exploration.
On the other hand, Metgasco Ltd has confirmed the termination of its Sale Agreement with Vintage Energy Ltd regarding the sale of its 25% non-operated stake in the Odin and Vali Gas Fields. The agreement was canceled after Vintage did not fulfill the necessary conditions by the 31 March 2026 deadline. As stipulated, Metgasco will repay a loan of AU$255,000 to Vintage by 13 May 2026. Metgasco remains focused on identifying new acquisition opportunities and working with its joint venture partners to enhance gas production.
