SCEE Group Raises $150 Million to Support Expansion and Future Opportunities
Southern Cross Electrical Engineering Limited (ASX: SXE) has successfully completed an institutional placement that raised $150 million, strengthening its financial position to support ongoing growth initiatives. The capital raising attracted strong interest from existing shareholders and new investors, reflecting confidence in the company’s long-term strategy and market outlook.
Approximately 37.5 million new shares will be issued at $4.00 per share, with proceeds earmarked for working capital requirements associated with newly secured projects and to enhance flexibility for potential acquisitions. Management believes the funding will help accelerate expansion across key sectors benefiting from favourable long-term industry trends.
Alongside the institutional placement, SCEE intends to introduce a non-underwritten Share Purchase Plan (SPP), allowing qualifying investors in Australia and New Zealand to purchase additional shares at the same price offered under the placement. The initiative provides retail investors with an opportunity to participate in the capital raising while supporting SCEE’s continued growth and strategic development objectives.
