Platina Resources Appoints Veteran Exploration Executive Paul Polito as Managing Director and CEO
Platina Resources Limited (ASX: PGM) has appointed highly experienced geologist and mining executive Dr Paul Polito as Managing Director and CEO, effective 20 July 2026, strengthening the Company’s leadership team as it advances its Western Australian gold-focused exploration portfolio. Dr Polito brings more than 30 years of experience across exploration, geoscience, mine development and business development, including senior leadership roles at IGO Limited and Anglo-American Exploration.
Dr Polito holds a Bachelor of Science with honours in Geology and a PhD in Geochemistry, alongside post-doctoral research experience at Queens University in Canada. He has authored more than 30 technical papers and maintains memberships across several major geological and mining industry organisations. Platina noted that his appointment aligns strongly with the Company’s exploration-driven growth strategy focused on identifying and advancing gold opportunities across Western Australia.
The executive remuneration package includes long-term performance rights linked to key operational milestones, including discovery success, resource growth, feasibility studies and share price performance. Existing Managing Director and CEO Corey Nolan will remain in the business as CEO until Dr Polito formally commences in July 2026.
