Patriot Resources Confirms Strong Silver Recoveries at Tassa Project
Patriot Resources Limited (ASX: PAT) has reported encouraging metallurgical results from historical cyanide leach testing at its Tassa Project in southern Peru. Testing undertaken on six surface rock samples produced an average silver recovery of about 85.05%, highlighting favourable metallurgical characteristics and potential suitability for conventional processing methods. The tests also recorded a free sodium cyanide concentration of approximately 0.21% after a 12-hour leach cycle, indicating controlled processing conditions.
To strengthen confidence in these results, the company has appointed Northern Metallurgy to undertake an independent assessment of the historical metallurgical dataset. The review will examine the reliability of prior test work, evaluate recovery assumptions used in earlier technical studies, and outline further optimisation testing if required.
The Tassa Project hosts a maiden Inferred Mineral Resource of 18.53 million tonnes grading 52.68 grams per tonne silver equivalent, containing approximately 31.39 million ounces of silver equivalent.
