Nearmap filed additional IPR against EagleView patents

Nearmap Limited (ASX: NEA, Company) has filed an additional inter partes review (IPR) against an EagleView/Pictometry (EagleView) patent that EagleView stated in the recent litigation it lodged against the Company.

Following the 3 IPR’s that the Company filed against EagleView in March 2022, this recent filing brings the current total to 4 EagleView patents that NEA seeks to have invalidated.

Further, NEA pointed that it takes it takes intellectual property rights and patent protections matters seriously. It confirmed that historical claims will not impact its core proprietary technology, the surveying of imagery or the content delivery.
