European Resources Uncovers New Exploration Targets at Korsnäs
European Resources Limited (ASX: ERE) has identified six new passive seismic HVSR anomalies at its Korsnäs Rare Earth Elements (REE) Project in Finland, strengthening the project's exploration potential. The Phase 2 survey detected anomalies south and east of the historic Korsnäs mine and existing Mineral Resource area, with five of the six targets located beyond historical gravity survey coverage, highlighting new opportunities for resource expansion.
The results also confirmed the continuity of a southern target corridor associated with standout drill hole KR-316. Two survey lines positioned near the original discovery line returned strong responses along the expected strike direction, supporting the prospectivity of the area. One of the most significant anomalies was identified on the southernmost survey line, contributing to the Company's application for the 6.3 km² Poikel exploration permit area, which would expand the Korsnäs project footprint to 19.9 km².
Encouraged by the positive outcomes from Phases 1 and 2, European Resources has commenced Phase 3 surveying to extend coverage across the broader tenement package and newly applied permit area. The Company intends to use these results to design Phase 4 infill surveys and prioritise future drilling targets aimed at potential resource growth.
