Develop Advances Pioneer Dome Toward Lithium Production with Major Mining Contract
Develop Global Limited (ASX: DVP) has taken another significant step toward commercial production at its Pioneer Dome Lithium Project in Western Australia by awarding a AU$70 million open-pit mining and crushing contract to MLG Oz. The agreement supports the company’s plan to commence mining in August 2026, followed by crushing in September, with first direct shipping ore (DSO) lithium sales targeted for the December quarter. The project is fully funded through a previously announced US$400 million financing and offtake package with Trafigura, providing financial strength as development progresses. Recent drilling has also delivered encouraging high-grade lithium results, reinforcing confidence in the project's resource quality and the possibility of increasing the overall resource grade. An updated mineral resource estimate and grade-control model are expected later this year. With funding secured, infrastructure advancing, and exploration delivering positive outcomes, Develop continues to strengthen its position to benefit from improving demand in the lithium market.
