Cassius Mining Raises Fresh Capital to Advance Project Pipeline
Source: Kapitales Research
Highlights:
Cassius Mining obtained firm commitments to raise approximately $1.16 million via an equity placement.
The funds raised will be used to progress development activities at the Soalara project in Madagascar, advance the company’s legal proceedings in Ghana, and provide additional working capital.
The placement was executed within the company’s available issuance capacity under applicable ASX Listing Rules.
Placement Strengthens Funding Position
Cassius Mining Limited (ASX: CMD) will raise approximately $1.16 million before expenses after receiving binding commitments from eligible investors for the issue of new fully paid ordinary shares. The capital raising was completed at an issue price of $0.03 per share, with approximately 38.78 million new shares to be issued.
The placement was undertaken using the company’s existing capacity under ASX Listing Rule 7.1, enabling the funds to be raised without the need for shareholder approval. The new shares issued as part of the placement will rank on equal terms with the company’s existing fully paid ordinary shares.
Allocation of Funds to Key Initiatives
Funds raised from the placement will be used to progress the Soalara project in Madagascar, which remains a core component of the company’s exploration strategy. Funding will also be allocated to progressing the Ghanaian litigation claim, alongside meeting general working capital requirements.
Management indicated the additional capital improves balance sheet flexibility and supports the execution of key operational and corporate initiatives.
Outlook
With new funding secured, Cassius Mining is positioned to continue advancing its core assets while managing legal and operational priorities. Market attention is expected to remain on progress at the Soalara project and developments surrounding the Ghanaian litigation, which are likely to influence the company’s near-term trajectory.
