Epiminder Limited (ASX: EPI) has confirmed the finalisation of its historical research and development tax matters, following receipt of amended assessment notices from the Australian Taxation Office. The outcome relates to R&D tax offset claims covering the income years from FY2019 to FY2024, which were previously disclosed in the Company’s IPO Prospectus.
The ATO has assessed a repayment obligation of approximately AU$15.8 million, payable by 19 December 2025, and Epiminder has confirmed that settlement of this amount will fully discharge all outstanding liabilities associated with these historical claims. Importantly, the repayment is lower than the AU$20 million provision reserved from IPO proceeds, resulting in a surplus of approximately AU$4.2 million. This residual amount will be retained by the Company and redirected toward general working capital, strengthening its balance sheet and liquidity position post-listing. The resolution removes a key uncertainty flagged at IPO, providing greater financial clarity and allowing management to maintain focus on operational execution and growth initiatives.
