Whitebark Energy De-Risks Warro Gas Field Through New Technical Interpretation

Whitebark Energy Limited (ASX: WBE) has reported highly encouraging results from a new technical re-evaluation of legacy data at its Warro Gas Field in Western Australia, materially improving the outlook for commercial gas development. A revised interpretation of the Warro Three image log indicates that water inflow previously attributed to pervasive natural fracturing is instead linked to a small number of discrete fault zones at depth. Large sections of the reservoir show little to no natural fracturing, with many fractures identified as cemented and non-conductive, preserving gas deliverability potential. This reinterpretation reframes Warro from a complex, water-affected system into a targeted gas opportunity with manageable water issues. Whitebark will now commence detailed engineering studies to design an optimal re-entry and testing program for identified gas-bearing zones. With modern drilling and completion techniques available, the updated understanding significantly strengthens the commercial potential of this strategically located onshore gas asset.
