Talga Group Ltd (ASX: TLG) announced that it has entered into a non-binding Offtake Term Sheet with European battery producer Automotive Cells Company SE (ACC) to deliver its flagship anode product, Talnode-C, from the Vittangi Anode Project in Sweden. Under the contract, the company will provide ACC 60,000 tonnes of Talnode-C over a 5-year period.
Both parties have a legally binding responsibility to use commercially reasonable efforts to complete due diligence and finalise a contract by 30 November 2022. The contract will likely include the supply of ramp-up volumes over 2023 - 2025, before the 60,000 tons offtake supply beginning in 2026.
The offtake agreement comprises a floating price mechanism with a reference price to be agreed by the parties in the binding definitive deed. The deed will be conditional upon standard conditions precedent for an offtake contract of this nature.
