On 06 April 2022, Syrah Resources Limited (ASX: SYR) announced that its Board approved a final investment decision to install a solar and battery hybrid power system at its Balama Graphite Operation in Mozambique, taking advantage of the high solar irradiation potential of the site location.
The Solar and battery system will lessen Balama CO2 equivalent emissions as well as the operating costs. It will also help the Company to get attractive financial returns from the low upfront capital intensity and BOOT structure.
