Stockland Establishes Data Centre Joint Venture with EdgeConneX
Stockland (ASX: SGP) has formalised an equal joint venture with EdgeConneX to establish and manage a network of data centres throughout Australia. The collaboration combines Stockland’s capabilities in land ownership, development, and project management with EdgeConneX’s global expertise in delivering data centre solutions to cloud and artificial intelligence providers.
The joint venture will leverage Stockland’s land assets in major Australian markets to support the rollout of hyperscale data centre facilities. This initiative aligns with the company’s broader plan to benefit from the growing need for digital infrastructure, supported by expanding cloud usage and accelerating artificial intelligence deployment.
Recognised as one of Australia’s leading diversified real estate groups, Stockland oversees a broad portfolio that includes housing developments, retail destinations, and a range of workplace and logistics properties. The new partnership broadens its exposure to digital infrastructure, strengthening its position in sectors benefiting from long-term structural growth trends.
