Silver Mines Expands Strategic Land Position Around Bowdens Silver Project
Silver Mines Limited (ASX: SVL) has strengthened its position around the Bowdens Silver Project after securing a major freehold land package and associated water entitlements in New South Wales. The acquisition will increase the company’s freehold landholding to around 3,345 hectares, supporting long-term development plans for one of the world’s largest undeveloped silver projects.
The newly acquired property is expected to provide several operational advantages, including improved project water security, biodiversity opportunities, and flexibility for future infrastructure and employee accommodation. The land will also continue supporting grazing and cropping activities alongside future mining operations. Silver Mines stated that the acquisition aligns with its long-term development strategy as it progresses approvals for the Bowdens Silver Project. The company also confirmed that its Definitive Feasibility Study remains on schedule for completion around mid-2026. The transaction will be funded through existing cash reserves, with the company maintaining a strong financial position to support ongoing operations.
