NeuroScientific Achieves Positive StemSmart Trial Outcomes in Crohns Disease
NeuroScientific Biopharmaceuticals Ltd (ASX: NSB) has reported strong early outcomes from its Special Access Program evaluating StemSmart therapy in patients with fistulising Crohn’s disease. The treatment was administered to five patients, with all participants showing improvement and four achieving a notable clinical response. The therapy also demonstrated a favourable safety profile, as no serious side effects were observed.
The patients involved had severe forms of Crohn’s disease and had not responded effectively to existing treatment options. Along with reduced fistula symptoms, patients also recorded improvements in disease activity scores and overall quality of life. MRI assessments further indicated early signs of healing.
Encouraged by these outcomes, the company is now progressing plans for an Australian Phase 2 clinical trial scheduled for the second half of CY2026, supporting its broader commercialisation and regulatory strategy for StemSmart therapy.
