Nexsen Secures AU$1.5 million Non-Dilutive Funding to Advance Diagnostic Platform
Nexsen Limited (ASX: NXN) has secured over AU$1.5 million in non-dilutive funding through its admission as an industry partner in the ARC-backed SAGE-Manufacturing program, led by Monash University, RMIT, Deakin University and CSIRO. The collaboration will apply advanced catalysis science to Nexsenâs rapid diagnostics platform, aiming to enhance detection sensitivity, reliability and manufacturing scalability across its test pipeline. The initiative also includes access to two full-time researchers embedded within Nexsenâs Australian R&D facility, directly supporting platform optimisation and device development.
The partnership provides more than eight times leverage on Nexsenâs annual cash contribution of AU$35,000, with total support valued above AU$1.5 million over five years. It aligns with the companyâs 2026 strategy to expand R&D capacity and manufacturing readiness through capital-efficient collaboration, supporting future commercial scale-up and broader diagnostic applications in human health and other sectors and platform development initiatives across its portfolio ASX release.
