Imagion Biosystems Secures AU$3.75 Million to Advance HER2 Cancer Imaging Clinical Trial
Imagion Biosystems Limited (ASX: IBX) has secured firm commitments to raise AU$3.75 million through a two-tranche placement, providing funding to commence its Phase 1b/2 clinical trial for the MagSense® HER2 molecular imaging agent in the United States. The capital raise follows the recent regulatory clearance that enables the company to begin human clinical studies, marking an important milestone in the commercial development of its proprietary imaging technology.
The proceeds will primarily support patient enrolment, manufacturing of the imaging agent, intellectual property development, and collaborations aimed at enhancing MRI-based cancer detection using advanced quantitative imaging and artificial intelligence. Management also intends to participate in the placement, subject to shareholder approval. By strengthening its financial position, the company is expected to accelerate clinical development and reinforce its objective of delivering earlier and more accurate cancer diagnosis through innovative molecular imaging solutions.
