IIQ Advances CAR-Exosome Platform with Strong Ovarian Cancer Cell Killing
INOVIQ Limited (ASX: IIQ) reported positive in vitro proof-of-concept results showing its CAR-exosome platform achieved potent tumour killing in ovarian cancer cell lines. CA125- and EGFR-targeting CAR-exosomes eliminated up to 90% of OVCAR-3 and Caov-3 cells within 48 hours, while also reducing the more aggressive SK-OV-3 cells by around 50%. The results reinforce activity across multiple hard-to-treat tumour models and highlight the effectiveness of dual antigen targeting approaches in ovarian cancer.
INOVIQ is advancing the program through manufacturing readiness and optimisation of next-generation dual-action CAR-exosomes, including GMP cell sourcing and CDMO selection, aimed at improving scalability for clinical development. The platform continues to show broad applicability across solid tumours such as triple negative breast cancer and non-small cell lung cancer, with additional TNBC dual-action data expected in Q4 CY2026. The off-the-shelf, cell-free approach may offer advantages in safety, manufacturing and tumour penetration compared to conventional cell therapies.
