Nexalis Secures New AU$53 million Funding Partnership
Nexalis Therapeutics Limited (ASX: NX1) has entered a binding letter of intent with Point8 Capital to establish a new non-dilutive funding facility worth up to AU$53 million, replacing its previous arrangement with Linlithgow Family Office. The funding package is structured across three sub-facilities dedicated to the advancement of the company’s key clinical programs, including IRX-211 for breakthrough cancer pain, IRX-616a for panic disorder, and SRX-25 for treatment-resistant depression.
The proposed facility includes staged drawdowns linked to approved clinical trial expenses and carries an annual interest rate of 15%. As part of the agreement, Point8 will receive approximately 49.35 million options tied to the progress of Nexalis’ clinical programs toward Phase 3 readiness. While the funding documentation and shareholder approvals remain pending, the agreement is expected to support continuity across Nexalis’ drug development pipeline and strengthen its position in the mental health and pain management therapeutics market.
