Actinogen Gains Positive Regulatory Support for Alzheimer’s Treatment Program

Actinogen Medical Limited (ASX: ACW) has received encouraging guidance from the European Medicines Agency (EMA) regarding the development of its Alzheimer’s treatment candidate, Xanamem. The feedback closely matches earlier recommendations provided by the US FDA, giving the company greater clarity on the pathway toward potential approvals in two major pharmaceutical markets.

The EMA supported the company’s manufacturing strategy and indicated that only one additional pivotal Phase 3 study may be needed following successful results from the ongoing XanaMIA trial. The regulator also recommended expanding patient eligibility to include individuals with moderate Alzheimer’s disease.

Actinogen expects topline results from the XanaMIA study in November 2026. Positive outcomes could strengthen future commercial opportunities and partnership discussions for Xanamem, which is designed to reduce harmful cortisol activity in the brain associated with Alzheimer’s disease progression.
