Incitec Pivot received several unsolicited approaches to acquire its ammonia manufacturing facility

Incitec Pivot Limited (ASX: IPL) announced that it has received several unsolicited approaches related to potential acquisition of its ammonia manufacturing facility in Waggaman, Louisiana, USA (WALA). The Company pointed that it would undertake a review of the strategic options for WALA. IPL highlighted that this step is in line with its long-term corporate strategy to optimise assets and manage commodity exposure.

Other than this, the Company also said that it will progress preparation for the separation of the fertiliser business while it conducts the strategic review process for WALA. It is expected that the earlier communicated timeline for the release of the demerger booklet and the shareholder approval process will be stretched by 6 to 12 months, pending the conclusion of the strategic review for WALA.
