Gateway Mining Expands Gold Potential with Fresh Cowza Discovery
Gateway Mining Limited (ASX: GML) has identified a new gold-bearing zone at its Cowza prospect within the Yandal Gold Project, strengthening the exploration upside across the broader project area. Recent drilling focused on a geological contact that had not been tested previously and quickly returned encouraging gold results, including high-grade intersections and a broad mineralised interval. The program confirmed that gold mineralisation extends across at least 800 metres of strike within a larger 2.5-kilometre target corridor, which remains open for further exploration.
The discovery is significant because earlier drilling campaigns had largely missed the primary target horizon, leaving substantial portions of the structure unexplored. Geological characteristics observed at Cowza also resemble those found at successful nearby gold deposits, increasing confidence in the prospect’s potential. In addition, Cowza is located on the same regional trend as other recent discoveries, highlighting the scale of the mineralised system. Gateway plans to accelerate follow-up drilling in the coming months while maintaining a strong financial position to support ongoing exploration activities.
