EV Resources Defines Significant Antimony Exploration Target at Los Lirios
EV Resources (ASX: EVR) has announced a maiden Exploration Target for its Los Lirios Antimony Project in Oaxaca, Mexico, highlighting the project’s growing scale and strategic importance. The target is estimated at 1.8–5.0 million tonnes containing 70–166 thousand tonnes of antimony metal across three zones: Los Lirios 1, Los Lirios 2, and the high-grade Cofradia prospect. The estimate is based on drilling, channel sampling, and geophysical surveys, with Los Lirios 1 and 2 interpreted as carbonate replacement deposit (CRD) style mineralisation and Cofradia representing a structurally controlled high-grade target.
Recent drilling confirmed shallow antimony mineralisation at both Los Lirios 1 and Los Lirios 2, supporting continuity of the mineralised system over a six-kilometre corridor. In addition, channel sampling at the Cofradia zone returned encouraging high-grade antimony results, with laboratory assays pending. The company plans to commence Phase 2 drilling focused on feeder structures and high-grade intersections, targeting a maiden JORC-compliant Mineral Resource Estimate in the second half of CY2026. EV Resources believes the project is well positioned to benefit from increasing demand for antimony, a critical mineral facing supply constraints in Western markets.
