Fulcrum Lithium Reports Strong Lithium Recovery Results at Alkali Flats Project in Nevada
Fulcrum Lithium Ltd (ASX: FUL) has delivered encouraging metallurgical results from its 100%-owned Alkali Flats lithium project in Nevada, highlighting the potential for low-cost lithium extraction pathways. The latest scoping-level testing achieved lithium recovery rates of 93% to 96% from seven-day mini-column acid cured leach tests, with more than 80% recovery achieved within the first 72 hours. Additional roast calcination and water leach tests produced lithium extraction rates ranging from 57% to 66% under ambient temperature conditions.
The Company also reported positive beneficiation outcomes, with hydrocyclone testing reducing mass by up to 41%, removing up to 54% of carbonates and increasing lithium grade by as much as 27%. Alcohol screening further reduced carbonate content while enhancing grade profiles. Management noted that the results support potential low-temperature and low-cost processing options for the project.
Fulcrum has now commenced the next phase of metallurgical work using material from its Phase 3 drilling program as it advances development studies at Alkali Flats.
