According to statistics from the Australian Bureau of Statistics released today, the value of all home loan refinancing between lenders decreased by 1.5% but remained high at AU$19.1 billion in December 2022.

From record high levels recorded earlier in 2022, the value of all new home loan agreements decreased in December by 4.3% to AU$23.4 billion. New investor loan commitments decreased by 4.4% to AU$7.9 billion, while new owner-occupier loan commitments decreased by 4.2% to AU$15.6 billion.
