Tivan Reports High-Grade Copper and Gold Discovery in Timor-Leste.
Tivan Limited (ASX: TVN) has announced the identification of high-grade copper and gold mineralisation across its Baucau and Ossu Projects in Timor-Leste, based on initial surface sampling results. Rock chip assays returned copper grades as high as 17.4% and gold values up to 38.1 grams per tonne, along with notable cobalt presence, indicating strong polymetallic potential.
These outcomes support earlier exploration findings and confirm the mineral-rich nature of the project areas. Located in a relatively underexplored but geologically favorable region, the projects show characteristics similar to major global copper-gold systems, increasing their exploration significance.
Tivan intends to accelerate exploration efforts through additional fieldwork, including geochemical sampling, mapping, and geophysical surveys. These initiatives aim to refine priority targets and move the projects toward drilling stages. Overall, the results highlight the strong resource potential and reinforce the company’s growth prospects in Timor-Leste.
