Invictus Secures EIA Approval and Advances Toward Drilling and PPSA Execution
Invictus Energy Limited (ASX: IVZ) has reported the renewal of its Environmental Impact Assessment for the Cabora Bassa Project in Zimbabwe, marking a key regulatory milestone ahead of planned exploration and appraisal activities. The approval, valid through to March 2027, enables the Company to proceed with seismic work, drilling and well testing, including the high-impact Musuma-1 well and ongoing Mukuyu gas field appraisal. The EIA renewal completes the permitting requirements, providing operational certainty and allowing field activities to progress. In parallel, the Company has completed the final all-party review of its Petroleum Production Sharing Agreement, with execution expected in the near term. The agreement is anticipated to establish a stable and competitive legal and fiscal framework for project development. Strong stakeholder engagement continues to support exploration progress, positioning Invictus to advance its exploration program and move toward potential commercialization outcomes in the Cabora Bassa Basin.
