Simble Solutions Secures Macquarie Partnership to Advance Nanosensor Commercialisation
Simble Solutions Limited (ASX: SIS) has entered into a strategic research partnership with Macquarie University to accelerate the development and commercialisation of its exclusive nanosensor technology. The collaboration builds on Simble’s acquisition of Next Nano Pty Ltd, which holds an exclusive licence to develop and commercialise the technology.
The two-year co-funded program will leverage Macquarie University’s research expertise and infrastructure while enhancing Simble’s capital efficiency. Two PhD graduates will support the project under the supervision of Professor Noushin Nasiri, with Simble contributing approximately AU$288,000 toward research-related costs.
Initially, development efforts will focus on e-skin applications for next-generation soft robotics, UV dosimetry and health monitoring. The technology also has potential applications across wearable safety devices, industrial process optimisation, environmental monitoring and infrastructure management. Simble is further exploring integration of the nanosensor technology into its SimbleSense and CarbonView platforms, which could reduce dependence on third-party hardware and create new cross-selling opportunities within the growing global Internet of Things (IoT) sensor market.
