Monadelphous secured new contracts worth AU$100 million

Monadelphous Group Limited (ASX: MND) announced that it had entered into new contracts in the resources sector totaling approx. AU$100 million. It has entered into a contract for the construction work of the surface infrastructure for the Oyu Tolgoi underground Project, which is located in the South Gobi region of Mongolia. The work comprises the construction of two conveyors and an electrical substation and associated integration to previous facilities.

Further, it has also secured a contract with Talison Lithium Australia for the construction of a range of facilities associated with the mine services area at Talison Lithium’s Greenbushes mine site in southwest Western Australia. The work comprises structural, mechanical, piping, and electrical and instrumentation services. The work is forecasted to be completed in the first half of 2023.

In addition, the company’s fabrication business, SinoStruct, has signed a contract to fabricate more than 2,000 tonnes of structural steel for a construction project in Ashburton in the Pilbara region of Western Australia and also in the Pilbara region; it has also secured a contract with Rio Tinto for the upgrade of conveyor facilities at the Marandoo iron ore mine site.
