Lachlan Star Provides Additional Disclosure on Visible Gold at New Waverley
Lachlan Star Limited (ASX: LSA) has released supplementary details regarding previously reported visible gold observations from its New Waverley Project in Western Australia. The update provides further clarification on rock chip samples presented in earlier announcements, aligning with ASX compliance requirements.
The disclosed samples highlight fine gold particles occurring within oxidised host rocks and quartz vein structures, alongside iron oxide minerals and silica fragments. Assay results from samples collected at the same locations returned grades of 20.9 grams per tonne gold and 9.36 grams per tonne gold, reinforcing the presence of mineralisation within the system.
The company noted that all assay results from the recent rock chip sampling program have now been received, with no pending results outstanding. Importantly, it emphasised that visible gold observations are qualitative indicators only and should not be relied upon to determine grade, with laboratory assays remaining the definitive measure of mineral content.
