Cullen Resources Limited (ASX: CUL) has reported encouraging exploration results from its Wongan Hills Project, where recent slimline reverse circulation drilling tested geophysical and geochemical targets for copper and base metals. Notably, drill hole WHRC025 intersected anomalous copper mineralisation, including 5 metres at 1,915 ppm and 5 metres at 1,555 ppm, associated with an ultramafic–mafic contact. These results represent the strongest copper assays identified beyond the laterite anomaly and indicate the presence of sulphide-bearing zones linked to favourable geological contacts.
Additional drilling confirmed lower-grade copper along with tin and tungsten anomalies, suggesting potential influence from deeper intrusive systems. While some drill holes returned limited mineralisation, the broader results highlight a structurally controlled system with identifiable mineralisation trends. Importantly, the ultramafic horizons and fault-controlled anomalies remain open along strike, providing strong potential for follow-up drilling and further exploration upside.
