Incitec Pivot delivered record NPAT in FY2022; Shares up by ~9%

Incitec Pivot Limited (ASX: IPL) announced  its FY2022 results and reported a massive growth of 186% in net profit after tax (NPAT) to AU$1,027 million. The Statutory NPAT increased from AU$149 million in FY2021 to AU$1,014 million in FY2022. It announced a total dividend for FY2022 of AU$524 million along with an on-market share buyback of up to AU$400 million.

1. Earnings Before Interest and Tax (EBIT) ex Individually Material Items (IMIs).
2. Return on invested capital improved from 5.8% in FY2021 to 13.8% in FY2022.
3. The Company has a strong balance sheet with net debt of AU$1 billion.

During the period, the Company made excellent progress in its strategy. The result was driven by robust operating performance from its two category-leading businesses which performed well in high demand but disrupted markets.

At AEDT 11:53 AM, IPL shares are trading at AU$4.075, up 8.957% from its previous close.
