First Drill Hole at Cabin Lake Gold Project Confirms Sulphide Mineralisation
FIN Resources Limited (ASX: FIN) has successfully completed its first drill hole (CL-26-001) at the Cabin Lake Gold Project in the Northwest Territories, Canada. The hole intersected a broad 38.37m zone of sulphide mineralisation within the targeted iron formation, confirming the presence of the mineralised system. The sulphides were visually identified as predominantly pyrite with minor pyrrhotite, consistent with the company’s geological model.
The drilling program aims to test the extent of the system, and drilling continues with the second hole (CL-26-002) now underway. Geophysical surveys, including downhole IP and ground magnetics, are progressing alongside the drilling. Assay results for the initial drill hole are anticipated within the next 4 to 6 weeks.
The project, which spans a 15km strike length, shows significant potential for further exploration, and the company is advancing the program with the goal of expanding the mineralisation footprint.
