EMC Gold Strengthens Spanish Strategy with New CEO Appointment
EMC Gold (ASX: EM3) has strengthened its leadership team by appointing experienced mining executive Agne Ahlenius as Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director, effective 6 July 2026. The appointment supports the company's strategy of accelerating the development of its flagship Salave Gold Project in Spain. With more than three decades of global mining experience and extensive operational expertise in Spain, Mr Ahlenius is expected to lead project advancement, regulatory engagement, and stakeholder relations. As part of the leadership transition, Alberto Lavandeira has assumed the role of Non-Executive Chairman, while Dominic Roberts has moved to the position of Non-Executive Director. The revised leadership structure aligns executive management closer to the company's core operations in Spain and reflects its long-term growth ambitions. EMC Gold believes the changes will enhance governance, strengthen local engagement, and support progress toward securing key project approvals while advancing one of Europe's largest undeveloped gold assets.
