Caprice Strengthens Gold Strategy with West Arunta Divestment Completion
Caprice Resources Limited (ASX: CRS) has completed the sale of a 75% interest in its West Arunta Project to Maverick Minerals Australia, marking an important step in sharpening its exploration strategy. The transaction delivers total consideration of AU$2.89 million, including AU$2.70 million in immediate cash and AU$190,000 in deferred equity, subject to future exploration milestones. Despite reducing its ownership, the company has retained minority interests across the project tenements along with a free-carried position through to a potential mining decision, allowing continued exposure to future discoveries without additional funding commitments. The cash proceeds strengthen Caprice’s financial position and provide greater flexibility to accelerate drilling and resource expansion at its flagship Murchison Gold Projects. Management believes the transaction enables the company to redirect capital toward higher-priority gold exploration while preserving long-term upside from the West Arunta asset.
