Elixir Energy Reports Strong Drilling Success and Solid Financial Position in Q3 FY26
Elixir Energy Limited (ASX: EXR) delivered a robust operational performance during Q3 FY26, marked by significant progress at its Taroom Trough assets. The company successfully drilled, cored, logged, and cased the Lorelle-3/3H appraisal well on schedule and within budget. The vertical pilot confirmed 148 metres of total net gas-condensate pay across multiple Permian reservoirs, including 28 metres in the Tinowon ‘Dunk’ Sandstone, 60 metres in the Lorelle Sandstone, 59 metres across six Kianga zones, and 1 metre in the Overston Sandstone.
The horizontal Lorelle-3H well reached a total depth of 4,477 metres, including a 1,157-metre lateral—the longest in the Taroom Trough. It delivered 1,033 metres of high-quality net pay with an average porosity of 11.2% and peaks of 18%, exceeding expectations. The schedule for stimulation and production testing remains on track for June 2026.
Elixir also completed 225 km of high-resolution seismic in ATP2057. Financially, the company ended the quarter with AU$22.3 million liquidity, supported by a AU$10 million debt facility and potential AU$26 million from in-the-money options.
