Cosmo Metals Advances High-Impact Drilling at Kanowna Gold Project
Cosmo Metals Limited (ASX: CMO) has secured a drill rig for its upcoming reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the Kanowna Gold Project in Western Australia, marking a key step toward advancing exploration activities. The program will target high-conviction structural and sediment-hosted gold systems associated with the Kanowna Shear Zone, located near major gold operations including the Kanowna Belle mine. Initial drilling will focus on extensions of the Don Alvaro and Adder prospects, where historical results include intersections such as 18 metres at 5.3 grams per tonne gold and 10 metres at 4.7 grams per tonne gold. The first phase will comprise up to six RC holes, followed by a 400-metre diamond drill hole co-funded under the WA Government’s Exploration Incentive Scheme. The project’s strategic location and limited deeper drilling highlight strong potential for new high-grade discoveries, supporting Cosmo’s broader exploration growth strategy.
