Jan 18, 2023

Clean TeQ Water Limited (ASX: CNQ) announced the formal accomplishment and handover of its ION exchange water treatment plant in Koumala for Mackay Regional Council in Queensland, Australia. The plant is situated on the east coast of Queensland, adjacent to the world heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef.

Under this project, the company provided and fitted an integrated ion exchange and package gas chlorination system to decrease the hardness and salinity of the bore water and disinfect the treated water. The plant decreases the potential scaling of pipes and improves the taste of the potable water supply to Koumala in Queensland. The company managed the entire construction, procurement, design, and commissioning of the plant with subcontracting of civil works.
